The Apostle Paul: II Thessalonians Chapter 2 The Son of Perdition

Hello everyone and thanks for coming back. In the next few posts we will be looking at 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2, and we will examine what Paul had to write about this coming son of perdition, this man of sin. As usual it will be a detailed look, because now is the best time for you my readers to start researching this fourth beast kingdom that is coming upon the earth. As I said in an earlier post, the whole point of this complete study, is to prepare you for the coming man of sin and his deceits, and to strengthen you spiritually for the coming persecutions, if it happens in the near future, which I believe is very possible. However, the Lord did not want me to start this blog and immediately just jump right into this subject, because by doing that, it leaves one with a lot of questions and confusion. To really know and understand what is coming, one must have a complete knowledge of the truth, of the deception, and falling away of true believers of the Lord’s Congregation, into the apostate church, and it’s false teachings, which include but not limited to, the rapture theory, dispensationalism, separation, and replacement theologies, Zionism and freemasonry doctrines, etc. Therefore the Lord wanted me, to take this study step by step, starting from the early congregation of believers under the Apostles, “the true congregation,” to the formation of the man made (satan made really) institution called the church, to the reformation period (the Protestant reforms), all the way to the present. That’s why this is such an extensive study, that takes so long, but it’s never to early for you to start your research now, on this fourth beast kingdom that will arise, along with your research on what the current topic or subject is concerning this study. So having said all that, let’s dive into 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, and continue on with our study on antichrists and the final antichrist that man of sin, the son of perdition.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

Here we find Paul, explaining the subject at hand, in this chapter, the subject being the 2nd coming of Jesus. Not the rapture, but his second coming. The rapture is a lie that was thought up, or really I should say was demon inspired by John Nelson Darby. I will be doing a whole study on the rapture, and how it’s a destructive lie, formulated to keep people asleep and not aware of what is coming upon the earth. The rapture theory is, one of the lies satan has brought into the dispensational church, that has lulled people to sleep. In essence if we are not going to be here, why know prophecy, why stay awake like Jesus commanded us to in the Gospels, in fact because I’m once saved always saved, I can live my life anyway I want to, my will rules, not His. I will give you some wise advice now, if there is a Pastor, or teacher of prophecy, that teaches prophecy out of one side of his mouth, and then the rapture out of the other side, just get up and walk away. This person has no idea what they are teaching. They are dispensationalists, that follow either the replacement, or separation theologies, which I will be covering extensively later, and these teachers have learned this from Seminary’s and so called Christian collages, they have not sought out the truth in scripture, and they don’t have a clue, this way church membership stays up, and the money keeps flowing in, when you tell people that nothing bad will happen to you, because the church is the bride of Christ, and Jesus doesn’t beat on His bride. Really? First off, the church is not the bride of Christ, His Congregation is, second, Jesus doesn’t beat on His bride, satan does, third, this must only apply to Christians in the Western World, because everywhere else our brothers and sisters are being persecuted. This is prideful arrogance and God hates it. All these people want, is a doctrine that tingles their ears, and makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Many today who do teach falsely on prophecy, are leading the masses, straight into Zionism, the number one most dangerous disease of the modern church, and I have so much to cover on Zionism later in this study, so keep coming back. When I was indoctrinated, I fell for the Zionists beliefs, and dispensationalism, my back ground was Baptist. I have since repented from those sins, and that’s what began my search for truth. I prayed for knowledge, wisdom and understanding, going on a trek for truth. I tossed everything I thought I knew out the door, and completely started over. And as some of you may now know, if this is what your experiencing, it’s very hard to throw out the trash, and start with a fresh bag in the can, it’s very hard, but my friends with prayer, and study (the work), the Lord will show you the truth, once He sees the desire and thirst for truth you have, He will not let you down, He will remove the scales from your eyes (indoctrination), and lead you to truth. He wants all of us to pursue truth, because He is truth, you just got to ask, but wipe your slate clean, and start with a fresh one, our Lord will not let you down, when you pray for these three, wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Many believe, including myself, that the Epistle of II Thessalonians was written somewhere between 51-52 AD, shortly after the first Epistle. Now what I always heard, and believed, was that there were these false teachers that came and told the congregation of Thessalonica, that the Lord had already came, and went and left them behind, and they were so shook up they contacted Paul to find out if this was true. Have you heard that one? Does that sound right to you? And let me ask you this question, what does that sound like? Maybe the rapture, and they were left behind perhaps, isn’t that what the commentators probably want us to believe, the dispensationalist, rapture believing commentators, that have literally butchered the entire second chapter of 2 Thessalonians. So we are going to look at what probably really occurred, that caused Paul to write back to them, and told them to rest easy, this is what must occur first, before Christ comes back the second time. I cannot find anything on these so-called false teachers that came to deceive the congregation of Thessalonica. Yes we know that Paul throughout most of his ministry was followed, by false teachers, whom he called False Apostles, and their doctrine of lies was trying to teach the people a different gospel, one that consisted mostly of Christ and adherence to the old law, in a nut shell, the New Gospel mixed with the Old Covenant laws of Judaism. That’s what Paul was fighting. There is no record at all of false teachers coming to just one congregation in Thessalonica, and these so-called false teachers telling the congregation that Christ had come, and left them behind. This is nonsense, but it sure does mix well with the rapture, and the left behind book series, of these John Darby followers beliefs, those dispensationalists liars, who love to teach a lie, and deceive the church, and march them right into Zionism. So if you are one who has, or still does believe in a rapture, clean your mind of this lie, and start over with a clean slate, if you do believe in a rapture, you are being deceived, there will not be a rapture, so please stop looking for one, and prepare yourself for what is coming. So now we will do, what we do in this study, and really break this down and read, and understand it for what Paul is really saying. I will be covering this lie of the rapture in full, and explain its origins, and show you in God’s Word where, this heresy, is no where to be found. I will be doing this in the future, when we study the different theologies of today’s modern churches. Let’s start by looking elsewhere in the Bible to find out what this congregation was experiencing during the writing of this Epistle. To do this, all we need to do is go back to chapter one of 2 Thessalonians, verse 4, and it explains, what the congregation was going through.

2 Thessalonians 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the assembly’s of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Ok now we know that this congregation was being persecuted, and going through great tribulations, but in the face of persecution, Paul was commending their faith in spite of the terrible persecution they were experiencing. So the subject begins with persecution, and tribulations, we need to keep this in mind, as we go further. What was going on in Rome, in 51-52 AD? To better understand their persecutions, we got to go back in time and find out, bottom line is this, they didn’t freak out just because someone or some false teachers came and said, “oh by the way Christ came and left you behind, because you didn’t have the faith, you weren’t really saved, you failed” just like the churches want you to believe now, if your so-called left behind. How’s that for spreading fear in the minds of believers. The ones who teach this heresy, maybe the ones left behind. How would they like to hear that? Bet they wouldn’t, bet they would say I’m going to be left behind, just for saying that. My dad literally believed so strongly in this rapture doctrine, but was so instilled with fear, that when I would try to explain the truth, he would tell me that I may be left behind just because I didn’t believe in the rapture. This instills fear, and that’s all it does, and the fear that they, these Darbiest liars spread just keeps the lie alive, shame on them. Well Whatever you say Mr. Darby followers, I know if I’m here what I will have to endure but I follow Christ, and He’s got my back, His strength will see me through, you just keep following Darby. Can Darby save you from the persecutions that are coming? All this is, is man’s traditions and lies passed down, and satan loves it, because if you teach this lie, you are working for him, I work for Jesus. Friends there are three things that really get me worked up, 1 rapture teachers, and the rapture doctrine, 2 dispensationalists, and their replacement, separation theologies, 3 Zionists, and Zionism in the churches today, so if I sound like I’m getting worked up while writing, it’s because I’am. Look at 1 Thessalonians, chapter 1:6

1 Thessalonians 1:6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Here Paul writes in the first Epistle to the Thessalonians, that they received Jesus, even while afflicted, and he didn’t say a little, but much affliction. Strong’s defines this word as meaning especially pressure, so they were under great pressure, much pressure. What was going on then, that was causing all this persecution, tribulation and pressure? Look at 2 Thessalonians 2:5

2 Thessalonians 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

So Paul when he was there spoke to this congregation about the coming final antichrist, and what things you will see, to show you, it’s that time, but something was going on there, that led many to believe that, whatever was going on, it was so bad that they thought the Day of the Lord was at hand, but they forgot the details, it was probably someone, or a group of believers in the congregation, that was saying, this is bad, what we are going through is horrific, the Day of Christ must be at hand. So they called out to Paul for conformation, and Paul assured them that whether by word, or even what seems to be a letter from us, that day will not come till you see these certain things occur. So it’s possible it was somebody outside the congregation that was trying to deceive them, but I believe some in the congregation were beginning to panic, and rightfully so, and Paul had to tell them to settle down, it’s not that. They probably wouldn’t have thought anything, if Paul hadn’t taught them earlier, that this son of perdition must come first before Christ comes back for His Congregation. Has anyone ever told you something, or you learned of something, and then you begin to see, or think you see it, and you begin to panic, and somebody has to let you know, that’s not it, everything is ok? That’s what I believe was going on here in the assembly of Thessalonica. Not someone riding into town and saying “Christ has already come, you failed, you were left behind.” These believers had great faith, and perseverance, and they were taught by Paul, they were not fools, they would have chased that guy right out of town, no, they were checking in with Paul, to see, if this persecution they were suffering, could be caused by that man of sin, the antichrist, and was asking if the Day of the Lord is at hand now. But what I want to know is, what was this pressure, tribulation and persecution, they were suffering, so we can learn from it, just in case it comes back around again. Remember satan always repeats himself, a little different, but also the same. That’s going to have to be it for today, next post, we will be going back in time and try to find out what was really going on in, Thessalonica, so until next time, may the Lord bless your search for truth, leaving no stone unturned.
